Overview

The September 2021 Vogue Singapore cover marked a milestone in my practice, a meeting point between my earlier work in fashion and advertising photography, my digital human experiments, and my emerging NFT practice.

Created for the issue theme New Beginnings, the project brought editorial image-making into a blockchain context. It joined Vogue's publishing platform with digital fashion, a rendered body, and a programmable artwork that could live beyond the printed page.

The RenaiXance Rising was made with digital fashion house The Fabricant for Vogue Singapore's September issue. It carries my fashion-image discipline into digital human creation, using a rendered figure and garment as the cover's subject. The work matters because it helped translate magazine cover culture into an NFT context without losing the editorial authority of the image.

Process

The project was developed through a collaboration between Vogue Singapore, The Fabricant, and my digital human practice. It combined the compositional clarity of an editorial cover with the material imagination of digital fashion, creating an image designed for both publishing and blockchain provenance.

Statement

For me, the cover became a personal new beginning. It connected my photography background to my digital art future and showed that virtual bodies could carry the elegance, desire, and cultural signal of a fashion image.
