LOVE IS LOVE
In the heart of the NFT wave in November 2021, amid the frenzy of pfp projects, I discovered an innovative avenue for artistic expression - the beauty of generative layers. Fascinated yet not entirely convinced by the prevailing use of this technology, I sought to give it a distinctive, personal twist that echoed my beliefs and sentiments.
Thus, 'Love is Love' was born - a project that goes beyond the pixels to encapsulate a universal truth that resonates with me profoundly. It's not merely a series of generative art pieces; it's a statement, a belief, and a celebration of love in all its forms and colors. It was my way of challenging the norm, speaking out for love equality and humanizing the abstract realm of generative art.
Delving into the symbolic details, the pricing at 0.05683 ETH was not arbitrary. It mirrors the old phone texting code for L-O-V-E, 5683, a cheesy yet endearing touch I believe encapsulates the essence of love.
I am genuinely grateful and humbled by the reception of 'Love is Love.' Selling out within an hour, the project touched many hearts, including renowned Hollywood actor Idris Elba. This success was not merely about the art selling; it was the validation of the message that Love is indeed Love, regardless of who we are and who we choose to share it with.
The conception of 'Love is Love' made me realize how generative art can help convey profound, personal messages. I view it as a powerful form of visual poetry, bringing together the unique magic of art and technology. This project marked my first foray into generative art, igniting a journey that I am thrilled to continue to explore and share with you.
Love is Love was dropped as a 500 piece art project on November 5th 2021.
Love, whether it's platonic, romantic or even self-love, is such an intrinsic part of the human experience. So much of our joy and pain stems from love, and while I am very fortunate to have found mine, I cannot imagine what it is like to have my experiences denied or be told the love I have is wrong. Life can be painful enough and the world far too harsh, we should be given the grace to at least choose who we would like to go through it with. Regardless of gender, race and anything else, does it really matter? Love is love, to anyone who finds it.
